Pinings — Advice by Sherry Hughes
Back Off, Buddy
I was invited to go to a party with a guy I know. We arenít seeing each other, he is just a friend. When we got to the place, he started acting as if I was his girlfriend. He put his arm around me and tried to kiss me and stuff.
At one point, I told him to knock it off, and he backed off a little Ö but later on, it was more of the same.
My mom says I shouldnít see him anymore. My friends think heís hot and tell me Iím stupid if I let him go.
I asked him what was going on and I didnít really get a straight answer.
What do you think?
Do you really want to hang out with a guy who behaves in an inappropriate manner like that and then doesnít apologize or even acknowledge it? I donít care if heís hot, his behavior was boorish. I suspect it was for the benefit of the other folks there ó he wanted them to think he was with you as more than a friend. Either that or heís completely socially inept.
Unless you get a really good explanation and an apology, without having to go looking for it, Iím with your mom.
